  18. FIT2 fits equations to your data by least squares.
  19.  
  20. FIT2 fits assorted curves to X,Y (two dimensional) data.  The equations handled
  21. are: Linear regression, Exponential regression, Geometric regression,
  22. Logarithmic regression, and Polynomial regression,
  23.  
  24. Data may be entered from the keyboard or read from a data file.  Only random
  25. access (fixed length fields) files are supported.  Irrelevant fields & records
  26. may be ignored.  Data may be subjected to various pre-treatments.

  28. Graphs of the data and the fitted [fat?] curve are plotted on screen.  The
  29. calculated coefficients and residuals are displayed.  Interpolation and
  30. extrapolation are conviently handled by shuffling the whatzit to the proper
  31. location.

  33. The most surprising feat is that FIT2 managed to print the graphic plot on my
  34. Apple II vintage Seikosha SP-1000A printer.

  36. Documentation: Documentation is adequate, without being obese.  Occasional
  37. mispellings and typograhpical errors may be attributed to American English most
  38. likely being the author's third language.
